👑 high tea pepino

👑  ~~~~~~~ 💙 + 💙 ~~~~~~~ My simple food ode to the   great Queen Elizabeth II   who recently passed on to   the sweet by and by, to be with the   King of Kings,   The Lord Jesus .   ~~~~~~~ + ~~~~~~~ "pepino sa pan"?  quizzical . 💭 T o me, it's totally unheard of. But directly translate that to " cucumber sandwich " and then it starts to make sense. interesting . I have been on the lookout for healthier but filling alternatives to our usual sandwiches; I got curious when I saw this cucumber sandwich on my FB feed a few days ago.  promising .  'Seems to me a typical high tea sandwich that I've never tried before. Banana ba-na-na-naaaa

Truth be told i am not so fond of ripe bananas.  I admitted as much to my kids. But i do show them that i eat it, despite. Must walk the talk especially when they are the involuntary audience to my "healthy food" lectures 😅. Banana cake is an exemption though. The mix of all ingredients is just so right it transports this yellow fruit right smack among my favorite fruits list each time i gobble a piece.  The aroma as it bakes brings back fond memories of my mom preparing this treat.
