Arroz la Cubana, mamacita!

Despite the name, this dish is not Cuban. Rather, it originated from Spain. Because of the Philippines entwined history with EspaΓ±a , this dish is also a common fare in Filipino homes. It's a straightforward dish to make, and very filling. Mi familia L🀎ves this, we have it regularly for lunch or dinner.  Here's one that my M, hija menor de 14 aΓ±os,  cooked recently. 🧑 Tools Knife & chopping board. Wok or pot Ladle 🧑 Ingredients Minced pork. Onion, minced. 2 garlic, minced. Ginger, minced (optional). Carrot, minced. Potatoes, minced. Bellpepper, minced. Tomatoes, diced (optional). Cooking oil. Soy sauce. Brown sugar. Oyster sauce. Salt & Pepper. Saba banana or Plantain, sliced thinly. Corn flour or cornstarch. Eggs, fried. 🧑 Steps- Minced Pork Warm the oil in a wide and not so shallow pot. πŸ”† Easy, easy on Sunday mornings... 🎢🎡 Tried this breezy banana pancake for a nutritious and butter-yummy energy boost.πŸ’ͺ As long as there is butter , i'm sold.πŸ˜‹E ven if there's ripe banana,  butter is life  ! πŸ‘Œ πŸ₯ž Ingredients 2-3 large bananas overripe (optional) 2 eggs. Flour.  1 cup Sugar. 1 tbsp Salt. 3/4 tsp Baking Powder. 1.5 tsp Milk. 1 cup Butter. melted 2 tbsp πŸ₯ž Steps for Batter In a mixing bowl... Mash peeled bananas finely with a fork. Add dry ingredients into a bowl. Mix well. Add eggs. Whisk. Add milk. Whisk. Add melted butter, whisk. Whisk more for airy fluffy pancake. πŸ₯ž Steps for Pancake In a shallow pan, on low to medium heat,  add a wee butter and olive oil. Add a dollop of butter- portion size to your liking, cute minis or huge ones. Flip to the other side when the air bubbles start to form on the pancake. ☀️A strudel hack makes our weekend brunch  so easy like a Sunday mornin'🎡❤️ . This Pratha Strudel is hands-down in my top fave hacks because it gives me more time with my family, especially on weekends-- we get to enjoy each other's company, sip our coffee while it's still warm (milk for the kids), nibble our crispy pastries, our morning unhurried and pleasant. πŸ‘©‍❤️‍πŸ’‹‍πŸ‘¨πŸ‘ΆπŸ‘©πŸ‘§☀️ ---and isn't that a most precious well-spent time? Easy to prepare, c risp and delicious. Tools Sauce bowl Fruit bowl Baking tray Baking paper Teaspoon Knife Chopping board Fork Ingredients Pratha Fruit jam or apple sauce Fresh fruits, diced Steps Line your baking tray with baking paper. 🍍🍎Tangy Pine-Apple Sauce

My 1st time to make the "ham" sauce base and it's so easy and tastes like Christmas.🌟 Thanks to the  πŸ₯«  applesauce shared by Mom from my big sis. (Oof! Must find good recipes before it expires! πŸ˜…) Tools small sauce pan ladle spoon for tasting Ingredients 1/4 cup Pineapple sauce 1 tbsp Oyster sauce 3 tbsp Apple sauce 3 tbsp Water white Sesame seeds Steps On low heat, warm the sauce pan. Add the pineapple sauce and oyster sauce, cook for a minute. Add apple sauce and water. Simmer while stirring for a minute. Add sesame seeds and simmer for another minute. Transfer to a sauce bowl. An Apple Fritter Treat

APPLE FRITTERS 🍏🍎 What rhymes with fritters?  Jitters,  nippers, litters? 😁 Inspired by my Ate J#2 who made a batch recently and made me and my sissies drool via Zoom  over her creation.   ♬🎜 Do you know the way to San Jose? Let's go there for some freshly-made-apple-fritter! ♬🎜  I do wish our huge family just live next door to each other.  So one fine weekend, with a couple apples left in our basket, we tried it too. The kitchen smelled most promisingly heavenly while these were fryin!  Recipe for ~16 fritters:  fruit 3 large apples 1 lemon dry ingredients 1.5 cup flour 3 tbsp   sugar 2.5 tsp  baking powder 1 tsp     salt 1/2 tsp  cinnamon 1 pinch  nutmeg wet ingredients 3 tbsp lemon juice (~from half of a lemon) oil for frying 2/3 cup  milk 2 eggs 2 tsp vanilla 2 tbsp melted butter, room temperature Steps: Peel, core, and slice the apples to about 1/2" thick.  Save the peelings for a v...
