🥬 Pechay by golly wow!

Pechay or its other varieties, like Bok Choy, is delicious and nutritious. It's a great pair to any main protein in your meal. This quick boiled side dish is easy to prepare. 🥬 Tools small knife Pot deep enough to boil water and soak the pechay Strainer Tongs/ ladle Bowl 🥬 Ingredients Pack of pechay Boiling Water Salt Iced water 🥬 Steps Soak and wash thorougly. Slice off thinly the ends. Boil a pot of water, sprinkled with a pinch of salt . Once rapidly boiling, add in the pechay.  Boil for 4-5 minutes only. Strain , then ice bath . Strain. Transfer to serving dish. Drizzle with steaming hot garlic chili oil. Top with roasted garlic, sesame seeds, or chili. Nom nom nom!  one non-fuss body power up served! ⚡🔋

Arroz la Cubana, mamacita!

Despite the name, this dish is not Cuban. Rather, it originated from Spain. Because of the Philippines entwined history with España , this dish is also a common fare in Filipino homes. It's a straightforward dish to make, and very filling. Mi familia L🤎ves this, we have it regularly for lunch or dinner.  Here's one that my M, hija menor de 14 años,  cooked recently. 🧡 Tools Knife & chopping board. Wok or pot Ladle 🧡 Ingredients Minced pork. Onion, minced. 2 garlic, minced. Ginger, minced (optional). Carrot, minced. Potatoes, minced. Bellpepper, minced. Tomatoes, diced (optional). Cooking oil. Soy sauce. Brown sugar. Oyster sauce. Salt & Pepper. Saba banana or Plantain, sliced thinly. Corn flour or cornstarch. Eggs, fried. 🧡 Steps- Minced Pork Warm the oil in a wide and not so shallow pot. 🥚 TAMAGOodies! 🥚

Eggylicious &  eggzelent ! 😋 And the easiest protein to add to a meal. Known as Ramen eggs ( Ajitsuke Tamago )  for our Nihon friends, or Mayak eggs for our Korean chingu. 🥚 Tools Bowl for egg ice bath  Bowl for storage Measuring cup Deep pot for boiling Spoon for peeling eggs & for mixing 🥚 Ingredients 12 soft-boiled eggs 1/2 cup Soy sauce 3 tbsp Honey, or brown sugar 1/4 cup Cooking wine, (mirin,or sherry wine)* 1.5 cups Water Sesame oil Sesame seeds 🥚 Steps- Eggs Soft boil eggs with more water in a deep pot for even cooking. Ice bath eggs. Peel eggs gently with a spoon. 🥚 Steps- Dip and Eggs In a bowl/container, a dd all  marinade  ingredients. If using sugar instead of honey, add a bit of hot water first to melt it. Mix well. Place the eggs gently onto the marinade.  Cover, place in the fridge, and let it soak for at least 8hours. Pair with ramen, with warm rice, on a salad, and top with some of that yummy dip. 🤤
