Japanese potato salad, onegaishimasu!!!

Refreshing Crunch in every bite Nice touch of creamy from the potatoes and dressing Wonderful colors BEST of ALL: HEALTHY 🥗  Ingredients  3 potatoes, boiled &  roughly  mashed  1/2 cup of picnic ham, or 1/2 can of Spam, diced and fried. 1 cucumber, sliced 1 carrot, julienne 1/2 cup sweet corn,  1/2 cup picnic ham, diced &fried Japanese mayonnaise (*or any mayo) vinegar 1 boiled egg (optional) Salt and pepper to taste. 🥗  Steps Once the potatoes and ham are done, boiled-mashed, fried, respectively. mix altogether in a big bowl. Serve warm immediately, or it can also be served after being chilled for an hour (if in a rush 30 mins in the chiller will do.) The kids preferred without onions, so I always exclude it. Pair with some nicely fried food, like Japanese sausages, or chicken nuggets; world peace over dinner is hugely important. 💡 Inspired by: Ochikeron & Just One Cookbook

Incredible Edible Tomato 🦸‍♀️

ToMAte, KaMAtis, Pomodoro,  ToMaYto, ToMaHto. Here's our 1st take, of many many yummy-more! 🍅  INCREDIBLE EDIBLE Ripe red, crisp, and juicy. Dress it up, salt-peppah, or'gano, rosemary, Olive oil, balsamic vinegar, T angy!  It chills in the fridge, you chill on the couch. Tick-tock easy-peasy. In a bit,  it's gobble-ready  🍅 If you get a kick out of sour vinegar, this  ensalada  is something to try. 🍅  Ingredients  3 ripe tomatoes rosemary vinegar olive oil 🍅 Steps slice the tomatoes to about 1/2 inch thick rounds. add a dash of salt and let it sit for a few minutes. drain the juice. Ok, true or false: Caesar Salad is a staple in Italy 's menus. False. Caesar Salad was invented by the Roman Emperor Julius Caesar. Veni, vidi, vici !   False. Cook Time: 3 minutes Prep Time: 25 mins Amazuzuke :  Sugar vinegar pickling   Tsukemono : literally  "pickled things"   What's not to love with pickles?  says anyone with sour tooth. 😋  And even if you're the polar opposite, give this a try.  P ickles are known palate cleansers, when paired with  rich-tasting dishes, like fried chicken, pork bar-b-q, even ramen, meals become more enjoyable. So here's an easy refreshing Japanese pickle recipe.  Ingredients  🥒  1 Daikon (radish) 1 Carrot sliced rectangular 1/4 Cabbage - julienne or squares 1/4 cup Rice or cane vinegar 1/8 cup white sugar 1 tsp salt Remove moisture  🥒 Place the vegetables in a bowl or ziplock bag. Sprinkle 1 tsp salt. Massage and mix well together. Leave and let it rest for 15 minutes. Drain the liquid. Prepare the brine  🥒 Mix vinegar, sugar and salt in a small pan.
