Thats right, ' kopi ' (coffee) runs through my veins.  I run by its fuel, and a day without it feels incomplete. Not really a coffee connoisseur, just an avid coffee drinker. An easy Pinoy  merienda   swak  for   snack time, tea time, breakfast, anytime, really! 🫔 Tools Chopping board & knife Bowl or plate for sugar Baking tray Baking paper Kitchen towel Kitchen tongs (for flippin'). 🫔 Ingredients Fruit:  banana, peach, mango, pineapple, what-have-you  🍌🥭🍑🍍🍎 Brown sugar, 1 cup  cinnamon powder, 1tsp (optional) Lumpia wrapper (or dumpling wrapper). water, or cornflour / cornstarch with water 🫔 Steps Pat-dry fruits with kitchen towel, then slice thinly. (thick slices need bigger wraps). Dip & coat the fruit in brown sugar . Wrap in lumpia wrapper. Wet the end with water or or cornflour / cornstarch mixture. One last roll to seal the turon. Line in baking paper, space them well -- do not overcrowd. Sprinkle with more brown sugar (optional). Preheat airfryer 5minutes at 160°. Bake turon 10mins 160° in the airfryer. Flip turon. This is THE Hainanese Curry. A crowd favorite of my pack. They will literally eat this every day, if only i'd say yes. 😂 (if they knew how close i was about to crumble & give in too!) At long last, after endless requests, I got to make this tempting version at home, with the taste ~exactly like Encik Tan's.   MISSION:  Store broccoli longer Wash fresh broccoli well. Simmer fresh, or frozen uncooked broccs in pot with small amount of boiling water. Cover with lid til. Stir occassionally. Simmer for abou t 5 minutes. ( It should turn vibrant green once cooked through.) Once cooked, strain, then soak in bowl of ice cold water with ice for 2 minutes, to stop the cooking process. Drain. cooked sweet corn: golden yellow ✨!  🌽 Steps  In a deep enough pot, boil water, enough to cover all corn. Add 2 tsp salt. Boil sweet corn w/o husk for 4-7 mins. Remove corn from pot, and gently shake off the water. Serve and enjoy! Lone corn before boiling: just yellow.
