Turon turon, sinta 🎵

Yummy turon , airfried ! An easy Pinoy  merienda   swak  for   snack time, tea time, breakfast, anytime, really! 🫔 Tools Chopping board & knife Bowl or plate for sugar Baking tray Baking paper Kitchen towel Kitchen tongs (for flippin'). 🫔 Ingredients Fruit:  banana, peach, mango, pineapple, what-have-you  🍌🥭🍑🍍🍎 Brown sugar, 1 cup  cinnamon powder, 1tsp (optional) Lumpia wrapper (or dumpling wrapper). water, or cornflour / cornstarch with water 🫔 Steps Pat-dry fruits with kitchen towel, then slice thinly. (thick slices need bigger wraps). Dip & coat the fruit in brown sugar . Wrap in lumpia wrapper. Wet the end with water or or cornflour / cornstarch mixture. One last roll to seal the turon. Line in baking paper, space them well -- do not overcrowd. Sprinkle with more brown sugar (optional). Preheat airfryer 5minutes at 160°. Bake turon 10mins 160° in the airfryer. Flip turon. Bake turon for 13mins 160°. Take out from airfryer....

Banana ba-na-na-naaaa

Truth be told i am not so fond of ripe bananas.  I admitted as much to my kids. But i do show them that i eat it, despite. Must walk the talk especially when they are the involuntary audience to my "healthy food" lectures 😅. Banana cake is an exemption though. The mix of all ingredients is just so right it transports this yellow fruit right smack among my favorite fruits list each time i gobble a piece.  The aroma as it bakes brings back fond memories of my mom preparing this treat.
